SIZE GUIDE

Love to Dream™

Baby Sleepwear Size Guide

Babies grow quickly, and the right fit matters for both comfort and safe sleep. Our size guide is organised by developmental stage — choose by weight for Stages 1 & 2 and by height (length) for Stage 3 and rompers. All measurements show inches with centimetres alongside.

Stage 1 · Newborn & Swaddling

Swaddle Up™ — sized by weight

Use from birth until your baby starts showing signs of rolling. Choose by weight, not age or height.

Size Weight Max height
TINYTiny Baby 4.4 lbs2 kg 20″50 cm
NBNewborn 5 – 8.5 lbs2.2 – 3.8 kg 24″60 cm
SSmall 8 – 13 lbs3.5 – 6 kg 25″62 cm
MMedium 13 – 19 lbs6 – 8.5 kg 27″68 cm

The fit should be snug. A close fit around the arms and torso helps calm the Moro (startle) reflex. You should be able to fit 1–2 fingers inside the neck opening, and it must not be able to slide up over the baby’s mouth.

For babies born prematurely or with specific medical needs, please consult your healthcare professional before use.

Stage 2 · Ready to Roll

Transition Bag & Suit — sized by weight

When your baby starts showing signs of rolling, transition to arms-free sleep with detachable wings. Choose by weight.

Size Weight Max height
MMedium 13 – 19 lbs6 – 8.5 kg 27″68 cm
LLarge 19 – 24 lbs8.5 – 11 kg 30″76 cm
XLExtra Large 24 – 32 lbs11 – 14 kg 33″84 cm

The fit should be snug. Start with one wing removed for a few nights, then remove both once your baby sleeps comfortably with arms out. Keep selecting the size by weight.

Stage 3 · On the Move — Sleep Suit

For active babies sleeping independently. Ages are approximate — choose by your child’s height (length), not age.

Which stage is your baby in?

Love to Dream sleepwear follows three developmental stages — move to the next stage as your baby grows.

1

Swaddle

Birth → rolling

Arms-up swaddling with the Swaddle Up™ to calm the startle reflex. Sized by weight.

2

Transition

Signs of rolling · ~3 months+

Detachable wings let you gradually go from swaddled to arms-free. Sized by weight.

3

Independent

On the move · ~6 months+

Sleep Suits and Sleep Bags for active babies who sleep independently. Sized by height.

Getting the perfect fit

A snug, correct fit keeps your baby comfortable and safe through the night.

Stages 1 & 2: use weight

Choose Swaddle Up™ and Transition sizes by your baby’s weight — not their age or height.

Stage 3 & rompers: use height

For Sleep Suits, Sleep Bags and rompers, select by your child’s length / height.

Check the neck fit

The neck opening should be close and comfortable — about 1–2 fingers — and never able to cover the mouth.

Between sizes?

If your baby is between sizes or you want room to grow, we recommend choosing the next size up.

Safe sleep note: Always follow the included safe-sleep guidance. Keep sleepwear snug, never use loose blankets in the crib, and for premature babies or specific medical needs consult your healthcare professional before use.
